The BSDM stands for Bihar Skill Development Mission. According to the Employability, Financial Situation, Skills, the Bihar Government launched this mission to enhance the Skills, Employment, Self-Employment for youngsters in Bihar.
This mission was launched on 23rd June 2010. BSDM is a society and registered under the Society Act, 1860.

All the people who belong to the age group of 15-28 years are eligible to take admission in the KYP courses. The limits differ according to the cast that is for SC/ST 33 years, for PwD also 33 years and for OBC the age limits are 31 years old.

2) BS-CIT Course
This is the second course under the KYP program and a short term course. The time duration of this course is 120 hrs. The BS-CIT course is based on Information Technology Skills. This course is designed for delivering basic knowledge of Information Technology that is Basic Computer Knowledge.
In this course, the learner can learn the following topics:
- Computer Fundamental
- IT Awareness
- Smart use of IT Tools
- Windows 7
- Internet Browsers
- MS Office 2013
- Understanding of Google Map
- Open Office Writer, Calc, Impress.

3) BS-CSS Course
This is the third one course under the KYP program. The BS-CSS stands for Bihar State Certificate in Soft Skills. This course is based on Soft Skill and Life Skills. This is also a short term course for only 40 hrs both Hindi and English Medium.

What is KYP Course Eligibility for Admission?
Below the list of eligibility are written for taking admission. If you want to take admission in any of KYP courses then you must read this eligibility.
Under the KYP program, lots of courses are available but the course eligibility of each course is the same they are written below.
- The learner age must between the 15-28 years.
- For SC, ST, and PwD learner age limit is 33 years and the age limit for OBC is 31 years.
- The learner must 10th passed or minimum qualification of these courses are 1oth passed
- Copy of Aadhar card
- 2 photographs
What are the Fees of KYP Courses?
All the courses providing the KYP are free of cost. The learner will not pay any fee for any courses runs under the KYP program. But they must pay Rs 1000/- (One Thousand Only) at the admission time as security money.
This money is refundable and refunds to the learner bank account after completing his course and, he must passing in the final examination. The examination will be conducted after completing the course.
If the learner will fail in the final examination after three attempts or leave from the before course completion, they will not able to refund his Rs 1000/- amount and his amount not refunded.
What is the Admission process of KYP Courses:-

- First, you go to the DRCC office of your own district with a copy of all documents and 2 photographs and verify your documents.
- After verifying your all documents you have to receive a receipt.
- And finally, submit the receipt in any of the KYP SDC (Skill Development Center) to start your learning.
